The UN Security Council is holding a virtual debate under the title “Maintenance of International Peace and Security: A Comprehensive Review of the Situation in the Persian Gulf” at the level of ministers of foreign affairs.
The dialogue will focus on an analysis of increasing potential for conflict in the Persian Gulf area and ways to decrease it.
The event was organised by Russia, which took over the UN Security Council presidency this month.
