Situation in Tehran as Coronavirus-Hit Iran Resumes ‘Low-Risk’ Economic Activities – Video

Earlier this week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to provide Tehran with $5 billion in aid to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Live from Tehran as Iran resumes “low-risk” economic activities after the country’s President Hassan Rouhani announced the restart of certain sectors due to economic concerns.

Iran introduced social distancing measures to slow down the spread of the novel coronavirus on 27 March.

The country has been hit hard by the deadly coronavirus pandemic. As of Saturday, the country has registered 68,192 coronavirus cases and the death toll stands at 4,232, according to the World Health Organisation.
