Pilot Dead After Air Force Fighter Crashes in Central Argentina

The plane belonged to the Fifth Villa Reynolds Air Brigade of the Argentine Air Force. The causes and circumstances of the crash are not immediately clear.

An Argentine Air Force A4AR ground attack fighter has crashed during a training flight south of the city of Cordoba in central Argentina, the force stated via Twitter.

​According to the Air Force, the pilot was found dead in the vicinity of the town of Villa Valeria after he ejected himself from the aircraft.

In a follow-up post, the Air Force said the deceased pilot was Captain Gonzalo Fabian Britos Venturini.

The Air Force added that they have initiated the established protocols for an investigation into the incident.
