On Thursday, NASA’s Perseverance rover landed on Mars to study the planet’s geology and potential signs of microbial life that could have inhabited the red planet three million years ago.
Sputnik welcomes you to Pasadena, California, where NASA is holding a briefing on the Mars 2020 Perseverance programme.
During the briefing, the agency is expected to present exclusive footage of the rover’s landing on the red planet.
The rover landed on Mars on 18 February, ushering in a mission to search for signs of microbial life that could have existed in the planet’s once watery environment some three million years ago.
