Extinction Rebellion Activists March Through Falmouth, Cornwall on 2nd Day of G7 Summit

The environmental movement earlier promised to organise several major events in Cornwall over the weekend to demand that governments, corporations, and the media pay more attention to climate issues across the globe.

Sputnik is live from Falmouth, Cornwall, where environmental activists from the Extinction Rebellion are organising a rally to march through the town on the second day of the 47th G7 summit, urging global leaders to act against climate change.

Previously, XR members held a rally in the city of St Ives, blocking roads and accusing politicians of failing “to respect the global climate commitments they made in Paris in 2015”.
