The Space X Dragon capsule was launched on 30 May to the International Space Station and marked the first time astronauts were sent to space from US soil since the conclusion of the Space Shuttle Program.
On Tuesday, astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley held a press conference on Tuesday in Houston after returning to the planet on board the capsule.
On 1 August, the two astronauts departed from the ISS and landed the next day at 18:48 GMT in the Gulf of Mexico south of Pensacola on Florida’s coast.
The astronauts safely exited the spacecraft on Sunday afternoon after recovery at sea.
